Guidance for Nominating
- The nominated athlete must have graduated from Lancaster High School at least five years prior to nomination. A nominated coach must have been out of coaching for at least 5 years, coached for LCS for at least 10 years and/or been a head coach at LHS for at least 7 years.
- Candidates must be nominated on the official nominating form (see below)
- Possible considerations: a) First Team All-Ohio, b.) Member of a state championship team, c.) Individual state champion, d.) Performer of an extraordinary feat while in high school (examples: setting a state record, participated in a state all-star game, named state player of the year, …), e.) Was a professional athlete, f.) Participated in college athletics and was recognized as all-conference, national record holder, national champion, …) g.) Super Bowl/World Series (or equivalent) participation, h.) High School All-American, i.) College All-American, j.) Competed in Olympic Games
- Candidate may be nominated and inducted posthumously.
- Supporting material such as newspaper articles, stories, etc., may be submitted with the nominating form.
